Cosmo heads north this weekend to the ever excellent Melting Pot in Glasgow. One not to miss if you are north of the border.
Cosmo speaks to Christopher Tubbs for All Saints Basement Sessions…
Just back from Croatia, another absolute beauty on the Adriatic. I’ll let the pictures do the talking, but you can listen to Greg’s set from the boat party below.
And suffice to say a huge thank you to Nick, Charlotte, Eddie, Martina, Damo, Paddy, Eric & Edda, Greg, Cosmo, Lou, Cecilia, Duncan, sound crew massive, Dave & Steve and all the rest!!
We’re very happy to welcome 2 new artists to The Pool roster for 2011:
We are very excited to welcome Bottin to The Pool table. Bottin has been a friend of the family for a while now with work on Bear Funk and Nang labels. He’s also attached to Dirk’s Eskimo stable so watch out for a 12″ coming any minute called ‘The Edge of Discocracy’. He’s working on future projects with Justus Kohncke (Kompakt records), Rusty Egan (Visage) and Mike Simonetti (Italians Do It Better). His star is rising…
Cosmo is best known for her part in the Lucky Cloud Sound System. This crew continues the tradition of one of the World’s most significant and longest running parties The Loft. They host four parties a year with David Mancuso as the host on their very own audiophile sound system. This year will mark the 8th anniversary of the London events.
Cosmo is a DJ in her own right and has stood in for David on several occasions and plays around the world. Her production talent is huge. With incoming remixes of “Emergency Calling” by Off Key Hat on Yamwho’s label ISM and Cantoma’s “Dix Vertes” on Leng. Also the Wild Rumpus projects fifth single “Cloudhopping” to be released on Cosmo’s own Bitches Brew label this spring.
She’s busy too on DarkStarr, which is a project with Ashley Beedle. Their remix of 2 Bears (Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard) is en route. Watch out for her… Classic Album Sundays “A Communal and Audiophile Listening Experience” which continues its monthly London sessions with Cosmo’s state-of-the-art sound system. This idea grew from our own Greg Wilson via his Blog’s ‘Living to Music’ feature. Classic Album Sundays has been called “a book club for albums” by Word Magazine and has attracted interest by the BBC this month so expect to “hear” a lot more. Cosmos recent remix of Candi Staton was also voted No.4 single of 2010 by Frank and Bill’s DJ History site.
